The built-in RTC sold it for me—no more messing with external clock modules for my time-stamped dessert displays. It powered up clean and the 3.5” screen is crisp enough for customer-facing menus. Setup took a bit of fiddling, but once I got the hang of the editor, it’s been rock solid.
Was nervous about hooking this up to my existing setup, but the built-in RTC made the clock display a total breeze to configure. The touch response is noticeably snappier than the basic model I used before, and the screen is bright enough to read even in my sunny kitchen.
The extra processing power over the standard version is noticeable when I switch screens quickly—no lag at all. I’m using it to control my sous-vide setup and the RTC keeps time even after power loss. Definitely glad I went with this upgrade.
