The two-way external switch setup took me a few minutes to dial in, but once I wired it, the curtain motor responds instantly to both the app and the wall switch. Power metering in the app is a nice bonus for tracking the shades' usage.

I wasn't expecting to control my roller shades from my phone, but now I can set them to close at sunset without touching the wall switch. The external switch detection was easy to configure too, took me under fifteen minutes from start to finish.

Took about ten minutes to wire into my existing roller shade switch, and now the curtains close on schedule without me touching them. The external switch detection gave me exactly the two-way control I needed for the hallway, no extra hub required.
