I'm not much of a tech person, but wiring this into the middle of my lamp's power cord was way easier than I expected, and now my old 433MHz remote controls it from anywhere in the house. Even when the Wi-Fi drops, the RF still works, which is a relief since I use it for my garage light.

Paired it with my old 433MHz garage remote and it flipped my lamp on from across the yard without any Wi-Fi involved—that offline RF pass-through is exactly what I needed. Setup was a bit fiddly getting the wires seated, but once it clicked, it's been rock solid for a week.
