The AP+STA mode is a lifesaver—I can run it as a client and an access point at the same time, which simplified my whole setup. It took me about ten minutes to flash and get talking to my serial device, and the connection has been rock solid since.
Had it connected to my home network within minutes using the AP+STA mode, and the serial passthrough is rock solid for sending data both ways. The self-contained Wi-Fi solution means I didn't need extra chips on the breadboard, which saved a lot of wiring hassle.
Got this working with an Arduino project in about an hour — the self-contained Wi-Fi chip is exactly what I needed for a quick IoT setup. Wish it had come with clearer pinout documentation, but for the price it's a solid little module.
