The resistive touchscreen responds precisely even with my clumsy fingers, and the 64MHz STM32G0 handles my UI animations without any lag. I’ve had it running for two weeks straight on a bench power supply and the display stays crisp and readable at every angle.
Worked with it in an Arduino project for a week now and the resistive touch is actually pretty responsive once you calibrate it. The 2.8” screen is bright enough for a benchtop prototype, and I like that I can power it straight from the MCU headers, saves me an extra supply.
The 64MHz onboard MCU makes the touch response feel snappier than I expected for this price point. Took me an afternoon to wire it into a project with the bare board, but the Discovery series really cuts down on configuration fuss.
