The 5-meter length was exactly what I needed to move my temperature sensor from the cramped server closet into the hallway. It plugged into the jack firmly with no wiggle, and the readings came through clean on the first try.
Finally got the 2.5mm jack to reach across my whole garage for the temp sensor, and it plugged in snug with no loose wiggle. The waterproof casing on both ends feels solid, so I'm not worried about moisture near the door.
